What is the typical income of a veteran in the United States?

Income is defined by the Census Bureau as money received on a regular basis. It includes earnings from work—wages, salaries, tips, or self-employment—as well as money from public assistance, social security, and other benefit programs.

The chart below compares the median income of veteran population with that of nonveteran population.
