The chart above shows how the uninsured rate has changed from 2010 to 2018 among U.S. residents of different household income ranges. While lower-income Americans are most likely to lack insurance, they also saw the largest reduction in their uninsured rate since the passage of the Affordable Care Act.

Data is from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS), 1-year estimates, Table B27015. LiveStories calculated the percentages. The data only includes the population living in households. It excludes those who live in group quarters.
