LiveStories takes the security of your accounts and data very seriously. We are continuously updating our security features and tools to keep improving on the security and the safety of the LiveStories platform.
The following sections describe key security measures that LiveStories takes to keep your information safe.
Physical, System, and Network Security
Our systems are hosted at AWS which provides state of the art security regarding data center access and network protection such as DDoS/MITM attacks.
All systems are kept up to date with security patches.
A Virtual Private Cloud, firewall and VPN services to help block unauthorized system access.
Industry guidelines and best practices such as OWASP Top 10 2013 are at the core of our software development methodology.
Passwords never appear in our logs and are one-way encrypted in the database.
Access to production databases is controlled with strong passwords restricted to support case use only.
All private data exchanged with LiveStories is always transmitted over SSL.
Any connections which leave our firewall are encrypted. Most services within our VPC use SSL internally, too (defense in depth).
All our databases are backed up daily and redundant.
Your datasets are saved on AWS S3 infrastructure providing both redundancy and high availability across multiple zones.
No LiveStories employees ever access LiveStories Team contents unless required for support reasons.
Systems passwords are updated periodically and are only shared with engineers who actively participate in customer support.
